What do you think it would take to feel, know and experience infinite potential?

that's a question that can be answered from a variety of viewpoints. first of all, feeling and knowing are different than experiencing. different in a temporal spatial sense. even if one were to feel and know, one would experience this through time and here and now. time is the great restrainer. oh yes, space too but time does it for me. this means that since the experience of infinite potential is limited by time, the feeling and knowing of it must be commensurated to this level. what this means basically is that it is all or nothing. as frank sinatra used to sing, " you can't have one with the other." seriously, parceling out feeling and knowledge in time units places temporal spatial restrictions on them as they reflect the highs and lows of time space experience. essentially, we exist in this state now. we can accept infinite potential as a concept but we can't live it as an experience for many reasons, in particular we can't realize it in time. we can, however, obtain glimpses of infinite potential, by the way all infinities are the same since they all have no beginning or ending, thru meditation or what has been referred to as cosmic experiences. these experiences transcend the limits of time and can, in rare cases, remove the experiencer from time limits by merits of the transcendental experience itself. this may be temporary or, in even rarer cases, permanent. this is called realization and is what we live for as existent beings. many are called but few are chosen.

I think, we should know, that what you want to do with infinite potential. That would sure take you to various paths. You should decide the 'what' part. 'How' part will take care of itself.

I'd first like to say that I am going on the idea that everyone wants happiness and/or good through infinite potential.

To understand how to unlock infinite potential (I am assuming you mean intellectual potential), we must define what "infinite intellectual potential" means and then prove that it exists. Infinite intellectual potential is continuously stored intellect that can be released in various forms. Discovery ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discovery_%28observation%29 [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discovery_%28observation%29] ), sharing discovery, being open-minded ( personal-development.group.stumbleupon.com/forum/87524/ [personal-development.group.stumbleupon.com/forum/87524/] ) conversation, theorizing, trial and error, etc. are all ways to can gain intellect. You have unlocked said infinite potential. Some of us are bad at remembering, organized notes can be helpful.

Happiness is the concept came from creatures with finite potential. If we have infinite potential, happiness won't be the target. We will be in thatstate already. Infinite potential is more than intellectual potential. It is even more than instinctive potential.
My proposed way of unlocking it is to kill the pain. Start living the life, as you have infinite potential already. Start using all the knowledge and other resources that you can access to, for the benefit of infinite people. You will become infinity.

I think it all comes down to our beliefs. Our beliefs really determine our reality. This quote helped me a lot in overcoming my self-limiting beliefs..

"Our doubts and fears are not true in themselves.
Our deepest beliefs about ourselves and the nature of our world
are not true in themselves,
but our thinking makes them true in our experience.
We can change our thinking and change even our deepest core beliefs."

Einstein said, "I want to know the thoughts of God, the rest are just details."

I think that is what it would be like. Of course the Buddha (who achieved it) merely said, "I am awake."

you seem awfully confident about Siddhārtha Gautama.

LOL, I can only suppose. (I am not fully awake.)
One person's myth is another's religion. I am neither awake, enlightened, or God - so I'll keep my options open, my mind open, and keep trying. That being said, I think I like the Buddhist approach - at least if I'm wrong, I'll get another shot in the next life. :)
