Of Death and Wood Chippers...

"Death by Wood Chipper is NOT a Sufficient Path to Personal Development."

As much as I'd like to argue the opposite point, the assignment stands thus.

From the perspective of personal developement, Death by Wood chipper can only be seen as the end of personal developement in the current human persona.

Rather than the means itself, let us look to the reasons one might end up in a wood chipper.
Of the infinte possible scenarios that lead to the belly of the wood chipper and the resultant red smear, there can be only two possible reasons; intent and negligence.

Intent indicates a lack of effective personal development. Whether one jumps or is tossed into the wood chipper is not truly important, since both suicide and getting on the wrong side of those who's business it is to toss people in wood chippers denote an unhealthly degree of self-absorbtion.
I think we can all agree that extreme selfishness is not condusive to personal developement.

Similarly, to fall into a woodchipper by accident is evidence an extremely detached mind. Woodchippers are large and loud. To fail to see one and take approriate measures to avoid it's hopper, a person would have to be completely unaware of a world beyond themsleves.

To conclude, stop being so self absorbed and you won't end up as a red smear on the wrong end of a wood chipper.

Thank you Mr. Goat. I am a better person for reading this. I hope all people read this and take the suggestions of how to avoid the intent or the accident of falling into a wood chipper. Both are equally heinous and I am afraid the resultant would be the same.

Lesson: Self-absorption can lead to the end of personal-development [at least in this life]. We must remain honest, open, and willing to change for our highest good while the defect of self-absorption is quite antagonistic to those ends.

A+
